Plain of Six Glaciers Teahouse
August 2004: The teahouse at the Plain of Six Glaciers serves refreshments and snacks to hikers. It was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1920s. Supplies are brought in by helicopter at the start of the season, and by packhorse for the rest of the year. Staff live on site.
