August 2000: The trail leads steeply up from the Interlakes section of Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. Upper Kananaskis Lake is to the right, and Lower Kananaskis Lake is to the left. Haze due to distant forest fires masks the view of Elk Pass, in the centre of the photograph.
