Cornice at the Notch

The Cornice at the Notch
July 2003: Mount Edith Cavell, 3363 m, is visible over the cornice at the Notch. This cornice (overhanging windblown snow on a ridgeline) is a permanent feature of the Skyline Trail, and on this occasion blocked the trail, requiring a rock-climbing b ypass.
