Trails in the North Kananaskis Area
Centennial Ridge
August 2002: The highest maintained trail in Canada, the Mount Allan/Centennial Ridge Trail climbs up to the southeast end of this ridge and follows the ridge to the summit of Mount Allan (2819 m) in the distance on the right. The high point on the ridge before it dips and then ascends to Mount Allan is called Olympic Summit in honour of the 1988 Winter Olympics. The alpine skiing events for those games were held on the slopes below (to the right) in what is now the Nakiska ski area.
