The Bow Valley
September 2002: The visible scar across the valley is a quarry at the foot of Grotto Mountain. The entrance to Grotto Cave, also called Rat's Nest Cave, is on the slope above the quarry. Highway 1A is below the Quarry, and Highway 1, the Trans-Canada is on, the near side of the valley. Lac des Arcs is visible near the centre of the photograph.
