Upper Kananaskis Lake from the West
August 2005: A bay has formed where the Kananaskis River enters Upper Kananaskis Lake. At this point the trail leaves the lakeshore, heading up the river to a bridge. The trail to Hidden Lake and Northover Ridge leaves the Upper Lake Circuit before it returns to the lakeshore on the south side of Upper Kananaskis Lake.
