Rockfalls below Mount Fitzwilliam
July 2008: These rockfalls come as a relief after the swampy section along Fitzwilliam Creek. Ahead is the headwall below Fitzwilliam Basin. On the left is part of Kataka Mountain (2621 m), with Mount Clairvaux's summit (2709 m) to its right, and the black bulk of Holloway Rock (2650 m). The trail runs along the foot of the headwall, eventually bypassing it to the left.
