Bow Lake & Wapta Icefield

Bow Lake and the Wapta Icefield from Cirque Peak's Summit

August 2003: Jimmy Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah Lodge can be seen on the shores of Bow Lake with the Wapta Icefield, the Bow Glacier, and a nameless lake in a hanging valley behind the lake. The glacier-free peaks to the right of the Bow Glacier are Portal Peak, 2789 m, just to the right of the glacier, and Mount Thompson, 3063 m, to its right. Across to the left part of Crowfoot Mountain is visible. St. Nicholas Peak, 2790 m, is behind Crowfoot, and Mount Rhondda, 3056 m, is in the centre. St. Nicholas and Rhondda are on the divide.
